Join us and Rae Fitzgerald, OH DEAR OH MY, Casey Benefield and Erica Joy for a great night of music! This show is free (donations are highly encouraged). Our musical journey will start around 7pm-ish.
Check out the line up below.
RAE FITZGERALD (Columbia, MO)
A singer/songwriter spawned in the great Midwest and incubated in the American South, Rae Fitzgerald claims influences such as Bright Eyes, Sufjan Stevens and Cat Power. Her third full length record, ‘Popular Songs For Wholesome Families” will be out in early 2016.
OH DEAR OH MY (KC)
A little dancy, a little funny, and a little dark, dynamic duo OH DEAR OH MY rocks.
Curt pounds spicy, rhythmic, far-out beats on his frankenstien kit while Rani keeps pace with sweet 80’s synth sounds. The tunes are filled out with energetic, emotive shared vocals. The end product is real tail-wagger!
CASEY BENEFIELD (KC)
Hard work is no stranger to Casey Benefield. While many of his friends were watching Dragonball Z and leveling up their Pokemon, Benefield was leveling up in a way of his own. In a circle of tobacco chewing, guitar wielding, Hank Williams enthusiasts, Benefield grabbed his guitar and learned the alphabet of music, which he would later use to share himself. Wowing his elders, he left the comfort of their classic country circles and hit the town (Cape Girardeau, MO). Benefield could be found playing lead guitar for an array of local musicians, in venues all across Southeast Missouri. Established as a guitarist, Benefield’s curiosity shifted towards creating his own music. Here too he found success. In less than a year, Benefield managed to record and self-produce his debut album Hollow Hearts, play over fifty shows, and establish himself as a serious singer-songwriter.
ERICA JOY (KC)
Inspired by the vocal and lyrical wizardry of Patty Griffin and Brandi Carlile, Erica Joy will tap into one’s inner emotions and provide a cathartic musical experience. She’s a reminder that we all have our issues and are not alone. Certain artists have saved Erica Joy and she feels she needs and can do the same.
