Vinyl LP pressing. There is desperation and urgency in Fantastic Negrito’s new album Please Don’t Be Dead. The record sees the Devil around the corner, and each song is a plea to make you aware of what’s waiting for you. The artist is screaming at you because he knows what comes next. The album art features a real life photograph of Fantastic Negrito waking up from a three week coma. His body is shattered, his eyes are staring past you. They’re staring at the darkness that awaits. But with his new album we hear the voice of an artist who put that darkness in the rearview. Now he’s asking America to do the same.

Vinyl LP pressing. Kings is a 2018 crime drama film directed by Deniz Gamze Ergüven (Mustang). Set in 1992, it follows Millie (Halle Berry), a woman living in South Central Los Angeles who takes in at-risk youths to live in her home. When the infamous Rodney King riots grip the city, Millie and her cavalcade of adoptees are thrust into the mounting chaos sprouting all around them. In time, they are forced into unlikely alliances in order to stay alive. Scoring duties for Kings fall to Nick Cave & Warren Ellis of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds fame. In recent years, they have become a force to be reckoned with in the world of soundtracks, thanks to their impressive work on films like Hell or High Water, Wind River, and the National Geographic series Mars. Cave and Ellis, the later a repeat Ergüven collaborator, pull from their rich history in the music world to deliver an unexpected score that immediately transports the listener to a specific place in time – the hot, angry streets of Los Angeles in the summer of 1992.

Vinyl LP pressing. Digitally remastered edition. This is masterpiece. And we mean it. Beautiful golden-era soul written by Leon Sylvers III produced by Jerry Butler and Keg Johnson. The Sylvers were a family from Los Angeles who were very successful during the ’70s and into the early ’80s with chart hits – deep into pop-disco territory by then! – including ‘Boogie Fever’ ‘Hot Line’ and ‘High School Dance’. This is the groups second album from 1973 and is one of their strongest. Opening with the awesome mid-tempo ‘We Can Make It If We Try’ the record moves through funk boogie and deep soul moods finishing on a hazy acapella version of The Beatles ‘Yesterday’. The Sylvers always provide a goldmine of samples. This album has been flipped by Madlib (for MF DOOM) Homeboy Sandman 50 Cent Ghostface Killah Black Milk Roc Marciano David Banner & 9th Wonder and more.

Includes his most well-known song, ‘Agboju Logun’ that Williams knew was ground breaking – “I want to show the whole wide world that Africa is alive with modern musicians to reckon with anywhere
Vinyl LP. A great compilation can open the gate to another world. Who knew that some of the most exciting Afro-funk records of all time were actually made in the small West African country of Benin? Once Analog Africa released the first African Scream Contest in 2008, the proof was there for all to hear, gut-busting yelps, lethally welldrilled horn sections and irresistibly insistent rhythms added up to a record that took you into it’s own space with the same electrifying sureness as any favourite blues or soul or funk or punk sampler you might care to mention.
Limited red vinyl colored vinyl LP pressing. 1997 was a glorious time for many reasons. One of those reasons is most definitely the release of the Aquabats opus, The Fury Of the Aquabats. The Aquabats were trailblazers on a path of world domination that no one has since dared to follow, and they remain at the peak of their creative mountain today which is one part punk, one part ska, one part Devo, and unparalleled in this universe in the genre of “family friendly monster destruction.”
Vinyl LP pressing. Bad Religion has become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. Over the past four decades the band has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen. Originally issued on Epitaph Records in 1998, No Substance was the band’s tenth studio effort overall and second release following guitarist Brett Gurewitz’s departure from the band (he would rejoin in 2001). Seen as a return to form for the band after the transitional The Gray Race, No Substance offers up tight and heady punk which touches on societal ills and world politics and still remains catchy as hell. Remastered from the original studio masters, bringing out a louder, more clear sound!
