One of the great privileges of working for one retail company, for 18 years, is that many people that walk through the doors as customers, turn into lifelong, great friends. It makes so much sense, because talking music, films, theater and television means talking about life. Keith Irvine, who died from a heart attack on Friday, was one such customer, who became a dear, dear friend.
When I first met Keith, I had to determine if he was a “collector” of out-of-print items or a music lover, because his passion was so strong. He was definitely an extremely passionate lover of music. I will miss Keith. I learned from him and he from me. He taught me about going above and beyond for customers, when our first, of many, huge project together, meant me spending about 20 or more hours, at home, doing the research. Thank you Keith. Thanks you for being the first customer at RWM.
