Jamie xx is streaming his new single, “Sleep Sound” online. The track is from the producer and member of The xx. It will be released as a double A side single, backed with ‘Girl’ on May 5, via the Young Turks label.

Chrissie Hynde has announced details of her first solo album, Stockholm.
The album will be released on June 9. It was recorded at Ingrid Studios in Stockholm with co-writer, guitarist and producer Bjorn Yttling (Peter, Bjorn and John) and features cameos from Neil Young and John McEnroe.
A single, “Dark Sunglasses”, will be released on April 21; a limited edition 7″ will also be available two days previously as part of Record Store Day.

“Hot and Cold” b/w “Waterfall” and “Everywhere,” the limited-edition debut 7-inch from Ex Hex, is in stores today. Directed by Lara Gallagher, the video for “Hot and Cold” features a cameo by Ian Svenonius and will definitely make you hungry!
A power trio hailing from Washington, DC, Ex Hex is Mary Timony, Betsy Wright, and Laura Harris. The songs were recorded in Mary’s basement in July of 2013. Mary describes the process: “We worked quickly and over the course of two days, we recorded a handful of songs. Our friend Dennis Kane helped with the recording, and the songs were mixed by Brendan Canty.”
Ex Hex is what your older brother’s friends listened to. “Roxy Roller” and “Virginia Plain” rumbling from the Kenwood in the basement.

Sub Pop, VICE & MOCAtv proudly present Dum Dum Girls’ in Are You Okay, a short film written by Bret Easton Ellis and featuring the single “Are You Okay?” from the band’s acclaimed new album, Too True. Shot in part, in Joshua Tree, the psychological thriller, which stars Dee Dee Penny and Shiloh Fernandez, was directed by Brewer (Alt J, Purity Ring, Passion Pit), and produced by Braxton Pope, with additional musical score composed by Tamaryn and Drew McDowall. The video also includes Charles Ray’s artwork Two Boys (2010), courtesy of the artist and Matthew Marks Gallery.
